Choose this perennial wildflower to add to your wildlife garden and watch UK insect species thrive in an environment that you created. Large daisy-like flowers come up in the hot summer months when honey bees, pollen beetles and other buglife is active.
This ox-eye daisy reaches 45cm (18in) in height, a medium-sized wildlflower that attracts a range of insect species. Whether you choose to position your young plants in a container, (we recommend 10 plants to a 30cm (12in) container) or as part of a wildflower meadow (you only need to designate a square metre (square yard) to make a difference) with other species like poppies and cornflowers.
Grow in full sun where you can. In autumn just cut down the dying stems and flowers will spring up again in spring next year.
