Get this attractive waterlily variety for your pond; a dwarf yellow-flowering lily with small yet attractive lily pads pretty for small wildlife ponds and pools in your garden.
This variety is well recommended by the Royal Horticultural Society on account of its adaptability to small pools and the aquatic wildlife it attracts. The flowers attract passing dragonflies and damselflies and the lily pads make great shade for fish, frogs and amphibians. The underside of the pads are perfect breeding grounds for pond snails that like to lay their eggs on the smooth surface.
You receive your dwarf waterlily Pygmaea Helvola as a bare root plant. This is a crown of base shoots attached to a network of roots. These roots are ready to promote flowering stems and the stems of the lily pads. Just plant the bare-root crown in aquatic compost in a pot especially for pond plants.
